Which hardcore blogger did ever expected 3 years ago, that somebody would write a whole book about the phenomena fashion blogs? We did not, so we’re very happy with this cool and above all Dutch initiative…

A little chat with the Facehunter

Last Saturday Digitalista E. and I (Digitalista K.) had a little chat with the Facehunter. He was in town for a booksigning, and as we made a habit of interviewing famous bloggers that visit our small country (Susie Bubble, Garance Doré, the Sartorialist…) we couldn’t skip this one either.

This picture by Jak & Jil is awesome. You know why? Because it’s really recognizable for us. How many times didn’t we go all dressed up to see shows, presentations or attend a fashionparty on our bikes! It’s what we call ‘polderglamour’ in Holland. We rather take our bike than a cab or public transportation. But it kills your beautiful heels!

Last night we ended up at the Burger King (shame on  us, but after an Absolut Vodka party with nothing else to drink than vodka, we desperately needed a burger) and there we spotted a girl with legwarmers.

‘What’s up with the legwarmers?’, Digitalista K. said to Digitalista M.

‘Why?’, Digitalista M. asked.

‘Well, because I see those ugly things suddenly everywhere on the street!’. Ohnoo!!! Are legwarmers a new trend, AGAIN?! We don’t hope so!

When we spotted this new trend on Coolhunting.com, we thougt it might actually become a recession-hit. Why not make accessories of LEGO-pieces. We used to be creative with LEGO when we were little (yes, even girls play with LEGO), and if Jean Charles de Castelbajac can pull it off, why can’t we, right?

If you think the Sartorialist is cool, watch this! A kind of ‘ Sartorialist style’  blog with older people! I never knew grandmothers and grandfathers had so much feeling with fashion. I can look all those extravagant women with beautiful long grey hair and dandy-like gentlemen with colorful suits for hours and hours! Unfortunately my grandmother only likes animalprints….
